CME Credit Statement

CME Travel Academy’s courses are accredited by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and designated for AAFP Prescribed credit. Our activities are approved for AAFP Prescribed Credits, AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, and AOA Category 2 credit—and are recognized by many additional organizations, as detailed below.

Please note: Only claim the credits you actually completed.

AMA PRA Category 1 Equivalency

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

AOA Category 2 Credit

CME activities approved for AAFP credit are also eligible for AOA Category 2 credit. Our Livestreams and Custom CME sessions are designed for real-time participation and qualify for Category 2-A credit. Our On-Demand online course, which can be completed at your convenience, qualifies for Category 2-B credit.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

For physicians certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), and American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), AAFP Prescribed credit is directly accepted toward your continuing certification (MOC) requirements. No additional steps are needed beyond claiming your credit through your AAFP membership or by manual entry in your respective board portfolio.

For physicians certified by other ABMS specialty boards, we recommend contacting your certifying board directly to determine whether your participation may qualify under any self-reporting or alternate pathways.
