GOT QUESTIONS?
Frequently Asked Questions
What CME cruise options are available?
CME Anywhere: Cruise offers four flexible ways to earn CME at sea — join an in-person conference session onboard, attend a live-streamed session from your cabin or a lounge, book a fully Custom CME itinerary built around your specialty, or complete On-Demand courses at your own pace before, during, or after your cruise.
Does On-Demand CME carry the same credit as live sessions?
No. On-Demand CME is self-paced, enduring-material credit — it does not carry the same live-conference credit designation as our in-person, live-streamed, or Custom CME options. It is intended for physicians and clinicians whose licensing or CE requirements accept enduring-material credit. Check with your state board or specialty society if you need live credit only.
How does Custom CME work on a cruise?
Custom CME is a private, one-on-one itinerary designed around your specialty and schedule. You tell us your goals, we design the curriculum and coordinate faculty, and you complete the course during your cruise — with dedicated one-on-one or small-group instruction rather than a fixed conference agenda.
What tech or internet access do I need for live-streamed or On-Demand sessions?
You’ll need a device (laptop, tablet, or phone) with a camera and microphone, plus reliable internet access. Most cruise lines offer onboard Wi-Fi packages that support video streaming — check with your cruise line about their internet package before you sail if you plan to complete a live-streamed or On-Demand course at sea.
What certificate or documentation will I receive?
You will receive your CME Certificate within 48-72 hours after course completion via email. This CME Certificate will include your name, title, Dates of conference, Course Location (City/State/Cruise Line), number of CME hours.
How much advance notice do you need for Custom CME?
We recommend at least 10–15 business days’ notice before your cruise so we can finalize your curriculum, coordinate faculty, and get your course approved. Reach out as soon as you know your cruise dates and specialty focus, and we’ll work to accommodate shorter timelines when possible.
Does my accreditation designation vary by course type?
Yes. Specific accreditation statements vary by course — in-person and live-streamed sessions typically carry AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ (or AAFP/AOA equivalents), while On-Demand courses carry enduring-material credit. See each conference or course listing for its exact credit designation, or contact us with questions about your specialty’s requirements.
Are NPs and PAs eligible for these CME cruise options?
Yes. Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other advanced practice clinicians are welcome in our CME cruise programs. Course credit designations vary, so check the specific course or conference listing to confirm it meets your state board and certifying body’s requirements.
Can I set my own number of Custom CME hours?
Yes — Custom CME is built around your goals, so you choose the number of hours (typical packages run 5, 12, or 20 hours). Let us know your target hours when you reach out and we’ll design a curriculum and pricing plan to match.
What is your cancellation policy?
Within 7 days of purchase: 100% refund minus a $75 processing fee, OR transfer the full amount to another conference within 12 months.
After 7 days of purchase: Transfer the full amount to another conference within 12 months, OR convert to access to our online CME course library.
Email info@cmetravelacademy.com with your reason for cancellation and reimbursement preference.
