CME Credit Statement

This Course – Top Chronic Diseases in Adults: Updates in Evaluation and Management –  is approved for 20 AAFP Prescribed Credits/AMA PRA Category 1 credits (for online/on demand).  Please only claim the credits you actually completed.  For the individual courses, each of the individual topics are approved for 1 credit each except for the following which are approved for 1.5 credits each: Dementia, Obesity, Diabetes, CVA/TIA/Atrial Fibrillation, 

AMA/AAFP Equivalency Credit: 

  1. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

AOA Credit: 

  1. CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.

Canada: 

  1. Members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada are eligible to receive Mainpro+ Certified, Certified Assessment, or Non-Certified credits for participation in this activity due to reciprocal agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
